Miscellaneous Settings

The settings in this section are all other settings for management and administration of the server.

Model List

The database stores a list of models that are available for use. Run the following to add models found in the data directory (but without a database entry) to the database so that they can be seen in the sites model list.

Uploaded File Chunks

Large files are uploaded in "chunks" as to avoid the maximum request size limit of IIS. Once a full set of chunks is obtained for a file the chunks are deleted. Run the following to remove chunks older than two days as to prevent the build-up of incomplete uploads.

Folder Contents

The database stores a list that maps file to the folder they belong to. Run the following to ensure that each file is the content of only one folder and that there are no duplications.

Project Contents

The existence of a ":Project" property on a model used to signify that that model was part of a project but the model itself would still remain in the users folder. In order to allow project level permissions projects now have their own folder. This method will move models to the appropriate folder based on that ":project" property.

Additional outputs for Models

Additional outputs used to live alongside the model's "Binary" file and did not have a database entry. Run the following to create database entries for these additional output files.

Update file size and dates

The file size, creation date and modified date is stored in the database for models, experiences, external scenes and output files. Check the physical files and update those values in the database.

Dedupe file conversion history

We expect a single record for the file conversion (upload) history of a given model. If data has been migrated from another machine it is possible for multiple records to exist. TPM status information may end up being stored against an older record one whist the newest record as seen on upload history page is empty.

Regenerate Thumbnails

Rerun the thumbnail generator for every model. Note that old thumbnails are deleted instantly but new thumbnails take time to regenerate.

Fix bad model Ids

"Find unreferenced models" sets the modelId as the folder name. If a duplicate data is copied the folder name is no longer a Guid (" - Copy" etc) and this causes issues for Client apps. Find all models with "bad" Ids, replace the id and update the references.

Remove unreferenced models

The database stores a list of models that are available for use. Run the following to remove models found in the data directory (but without a database entry) from the file system to free up space.

Register Default Layout Model

Select an existing layout experience. The layout experience selected will be the "default" layout. In the dropdown list you will be able to see the list of all models available in the layout experience, select a model if you would like it to be loaded by default every time layout experience is opened.

Company Logo

This option provides the user the ability to upload an image of a logo which will be displayed in the welcome area when using an immersive client. By default, a Theorem Solutions logo is displayed but this is replaced soon as a new logo is uploaded.

To upload a new logo:

1.Click on Browse and navigate to an image file for the logo you wish to upload then click Open

2.Click on Set Logo which will upload your logo to the server – this can take a couple minutes depending on the size of the logo

3.After upload, the logo will be displayed

To delete a logo and revert to default, select Delete Logo.

ICEM Surf Reference Manager Material Database Template

Save an ICEM file containing material definitions. If an ICEM Surf reference manager file (.rms) is uploaded that does not specify any ICEM file imports and was not bundled with any ICEM files then we would normally lack any material definitions. With this 'template' ICEM file uploaded we can supply this to the translation to provide material definitions in the case where the uploaded data lacks any.

To set a .rms file, click on Browse and navigate to the file you wish to use and click Open, then select Set ICEM Material file to save the file.
