Grant a Licence

When a customer attempts to use a server they don’t have access to via a client device, they will receive an error stating they should contact the admin to request a licence, the message will also state a unique Request ID.

To grant this customer a licence for their specific device, make sure the request ID matches the ID appeared on the client device otherwise the licence granted will not be for that particular device, select the check box next to the Request ID and select +Grant a Licence at the top of the page.

A window will appear where you need to enter further details:

1.Firstly, assign the licence to a customer by selecting them from the customer list.

2.Enter the Expiry date (a maximum of 2 months is allowed at a time), Description and a Request Accepted Reason – although this is not compulsory it will help you understand what machines the licences are tied to if a user has multiple machines:
