Description

Usage

Transitioning

This option clips parts of the model so they aren't rendered until you are a specified distance from the model. This will improve performance.

Select the icon using the pointer to toggle on

 

Use your mouse to click the Inner slider and move left or right to set the distance of when full geometry is visible

 

Use the Outer slider to control the distance of when the bounding box of the geometry is shown

Select the icon using the pointer. This will display a new window highlighting numerous tools. Including:

Info

Activate meta data information on parts

Select the icon using the pointer

Click on a part in the model, a window will appear in the bottom right of the screen showing you meta data of the selected part

Select the X button to close the meta data window

To switch off Info, toggle off the thumbnail in the menu

Swap Material

Assign new materials to parts

Select the icon using the pointer. When selected, the Swap Materials window will appear in the top right

 

Select Pre Set materials to browse the available material library

Select a material and then select a part on the model to change its material

oSelecting a material will show a new button. This button toggles the active state of swapping materials.

Select Custom Materials to define your own custom material

oGo to Create New Material and select the colour

oUse the parameters in this window to adjust the colour and finish of the material

oAdd a material name in the text box and then click on Save

oAll saved custom materials will be shown in the Custom Library tab which you can use to apply to parts

Use the Reset Materials button in the top right of the window to revert all materials on the model back to default materials

 

                   

Animation

Control the replay of motion data

If you have loaded a model with associated animation replay data the animation icon will appear. Select the icon using the pointer to activate the animation window

 

            

 

All available animation models will be listed. Select:

 

Play icon to play an individual animation replay and pause to stop it

Reset All to reset all animations

Play All to play all available animations

Pause All to pause all animations

 

Click on an individual animation to set specific replay settings and manually control the key frames:

 

            

Waypoints

Author and travel in your scene to predefined locations

select the icon using the pointer, the waypoints menu will be displayed. The menu can be divided into, waypoint authoring and waypoint usage:

 

Waypoint usage:

The main central body of the waypoint menu will display all the created available waypoints for a user. To jump to a waypoint location select the waypoint listed with a left mouse click.

 

Hide Waypoints - all waypoint labels will be visible from within the application. To hide the waypoints from view in application please left click this.

 

Waypoint Authoring

A user can generate new waypoints in two ways:

Add New at View Position - Select with left mouse button to generate a new waypoint at the current eye view height

Add New at Feet Position - Select with left mouse button to generate a new waypoint at the feet position at the standard model view height.

 

On selecting the new waypoint, a user is presented with the authoring menu:

 

 

Here a user can define a waypoint name and description. They can also amend the waypoint view settings. Click "Apply Changes" to confirm your waypoint settings.

 

The following shortcuts allow you to edit existing waypoints:

  Click to enable edit mode for the waypoint selected

  Click to delete the waypoint selected

 

Reset - Reset any changes to the last saved state. Left click to use

Save - Save commits any changes to the waypoints. Left click to use

Leave Review

Go back to the Model selection page

Select the icon using the pointer.

 

You will be prompted if you want to save the design review, select the appropriate option and you will then be returned to the model page.

 

Select cancel if you want to return to the design review.
